Anthony (Tony) Hutchison, ACNP-BC, RNFA

 

Tony is an acute care nurse practitioner with over 30 years experience in the health care industry.  He currently sees all new patients as well as serving as surgical first assistant for complex spine and cranial surgeries.  

 

Tony grew up in Dothan, Alabama.  His father was a high school math teacher and his mother owned a daycare business.  His paternal grandmother and aunt were also teachers. This had an enduring effect and has driven Tony’s passion for education.  A US Navy veteran, he decided to pursue a career in nursing after discharge. His nursing career covered many specialties including oncology, CVICU and surgery where he became proficient in multiple specialties including, cardiovascular surgery, plastic surgery and neurosurgery to name a few.  

 

After he received his master’s degree in nursing in the field of Acute Care and Adult Care nurse practitioner in 2006, he moved to the metro Atlanta area and has worked exclusively as an acute care nurse practitioner in the field of neurosurgery since 2008.
