Born in 1954 in a small village near Mumbai, Dr. Vidyadhar S. Chitale was exposed to the rural farm life until he graduated from high school at the age of 14. He has a good understanding of rural life and has compassion for hard-working people. This understanding and compassion carries over into his medical practice and treatment of his patients.

He attended college in the major metropolis of Mumbai. He then immigrated to the United States where he has been a citizen for the past 25 years. His residency training was completed in New York and Philadelphia. He also was involved in teaching residents the art of neurosurgery from 1986-1993. His major interests are cranial brain tumors and aneurisms, cervical/lumbar disc surgeries and complex spinal fusions.

Dr. Chitale has been a board certified neurosurgeon for over 25 years and has performed over 5,000 surgical procedures. His patients have benefited greatly from his surgical skills and expertise.
